The Asta Plastic Rug 70x180cm was designed by famous textile designer Lina Rickardsson for the furniture brand Pappelina.As the designer behind the highly successful Pappelina label, Rickardsson has a wealth of knowledge about production techniques and the creative process. After studying the crafts of painting and weaving in Gothenburg, Rickardsson started weaving bespoke rugs in her spare time whilst raising her children. She discovered that when plastic is used as a primary weaving material, it delivers multiple benefits, including improved durability, the ability to weave free forms into the patterns and also slip-resistance that negates the need for additional runners.The Asta Plastic Rug 70x180cm has a unique look featuring circles, hexagons, lines and flowers, bringing an air of elegance and harmony to any environment.
